After turning away from Table Cafe for not being open, settled on one of the outposts for Costa while walking back to the tube. Straightforward spot with a good list of coffee options and packaged pastries/sandwiches.
Picked up a packaged "Cheddar & Roasted Tomato Toastie" (£3.90) and ordered the large Americano (£2.70). They toast the sandwich while making the coffee as everything comes out together. For a prepackaged item, the sandwich was actually decent. Well toasted and a solid ratio between cheese, bread, and tomato. Coffee is warming and strong - keeping me up for the rest of the day.
As far as chains go in London, this was my favorite. Relatively quick and cheap - solid start for the day.
